Planning a trip out to Oyster Dome this weekend - one of those hikes that’s totally worth the climb once you get to the top.

The trail winds through beautiful forest most of the way, and then suddenly opens up to incredible views overlooking Samish Bay and the islands.

The weather looks cloudy in the morning but should clear up later in the day, so I figured a later start would make more sense instead of rushing out super early. Hoping we’ll catch some sun and clearer views by the time we reach the top.

We’ll take a steady pace going up, hang out at the viewpoint for a bit, eat snacks/lunch, take photos, and enjoy the scenery before heading back down.
