This Event is for folks who enjoy hikes, taking pictures, swimming, enjoying sunny summer days outdoors, and who have no other plans on Friday June 19. Let's go outside!
June 19 is a Federal holiday! Let's spend the day outside hiking to a swimming hole, enjoying the sun, and celebrating history.
The plan is to meet at the Enumclaw Safeway. If you're going to be late, message on meetup so we may wait for you. otherwise, we leave at 8am from the Enumclaw Safeway.
Head to Greenwater Lakes Trailhead (https://maps.app.goo.gl/PdPSjCiybZiBNVBp9?g_st=ac) and hike to a swimming hole. (~12 miles roundtrip,~ 2,700 ft. elevation gain.)
Eat lunch, swim, enjoy sun. head back out.
-parking pass at trailhead: northwest forest pass or America the Beautiful
-pack lunc
-sun should be hot to not need towels, but pack your swim essentials accordingly.
-NO GLASS! The water should be cold enough where it could chill our beverages, maybe. Worth a shot for anyone that wants to carry a beverage for 6 miles to enjoy properly
