Shriner Peak
Details
Come out for a trip to Shriner Peak!
Distance: 9 miles
Elevation Gain: 3,400 ft.
Difficulty: Hard
We can avoid some of the rain and clouds this weekend by hiding in Rainier’s shadow. Shriner Peak has amazing views of the east side of Mount Rainier and is the site of an old fire lookout. The trail itself is a good workout with a gradual but steady pace, suitable for those used to other classics like Mount Si, but with a better payoff at the top. It’s in the national park, so fun critters like marmots, dear, goats, and even bear are common!
Come prepared in case of windy or rainy weather. Also bring plenty of food, water, and sunscreen.
