Imagine hiking along a ridge surrounded by brilliant golden larches, with deep-blue alpine lakes below and rugged North Cascades peaks stretching into the distance. This is one of Washington's classic fall hiking experiences!
We'll enjoy the famous scenery around Maple Pass, then continue toward Wing Lake for a more adventurous alpine extension. The extra effort brings a wilder mountain atmosphere β€” but the rocky terrain requires careful footing and should not be underestimated.
