Making Biochar Part 2

Update: We've had to make it a week later... Note the new date!

Join us as we experiment with making biochar at Dawn Farm!

We'll be continuing to trial the cone pit method out in our 8-acre food forest.

We'll meet at the pavilion for the first 10 minutes (check out the map on the right for the exact location), briefly learn about biochar, then we'll head out to the field to start playing with fire. If you come after we've left the pavilion we'll be in the field just to the east, behind the hedgerow.

We'll be doing the complete process from initial burn to biochar.

Bring gloves, boots, and whatever else is necessary for the weather. If we end up with extra biochar you'll be able to take some home if you bring a container.

In case of inclement weather we'll reschedule for the following weekend.
