What we’re about

I host an online cinema club for those who love movies and talking about thought-provoking topics challenging their assumptions and learning something new. It's in English!📽️💬🙌

We meet monthly on Sundays at noon (Barcelona time) online, to chat about a movie / mini-series I propose a couple of weeks prior to the session. So you'll have to watch it on your own before joining the talk! The meeting usually lasts around 60-80 minutes, we use Zoom.

You'll have to join my Telegram Watching BEYOND community where I post details and announce things (the link below). People who come are usually open-minded and fun, some are movie buffs language nerds or even teachers 😊 You will definitely learn something new and leave the meeting with new things to think about!

SOME of the movies we've already discussed: Poor things, A real pain, Arrival, Marriage story, The Banshees of Inisherin, Whiplash, Promising young woman, Sound of metal, Women of the 20th century, Atonement, and many others..

For the session, I usually do a bit of research and prepare some questions on the slides, but it's NOT a lecture by any means. I'm a fan of discussions like this and a language coach, so I'll be there to just guide and monitor the talk and drop an opinion or a fact if needed 😎👋 No pressure to be active participating as there are usually enough people who are eager to share their opinion.
