Online movie discussion of 'THE SUBSTANCE' in English

In TEN DAYS on December 22nd, at 12 Barcelona time, we're going to discuss 'THE SUBSTANCE' in Zoom. So you've got some time to watch it either in the theatre or at home and join!
Don't get put off by the genre 'body horror'. For those who are expecting a typical horror for entertainment, you will be disappointed - this picture is too deep and meaningful. I've planned to rewatch it closer to the session after reading about it more... The writer/director Coralie Fargeat is genius, in my opinion. She also won Best Screenplay at the Cannes Film festival.

The movie is anything but straightforward, though, so a chat with some input from me and maybe my cinematography-geeky friend Joseph if he gets inspired by it, is ALMOST NECESSARY!

I host an online cinema club for those who love movies and talking about thought-provoking topics, challenging their assumptions and learning something new. All the while using your English!📽️💬🙌

We meet more or less monthly on Sundays at noon (Barcelona time) online, to chat about a movie / mini-series I propose a couple of weeks prior to (a month in advance for books - check my other community) the session. So you'll have to watch it on your own before joining the talk! The meeting in Zoom usually lasts around 90-120 minutes, and we continue to chat about it in Telegram several weeks afterwards!
