Scarf Painting Meet Up with Mayu Silk Art

Get your creative juices flowing by painting on water with the artisans at Mayu Silk Art in Huntington Beach. It’s a magical, wonder-filled experience, and everyone goes home with a one-of-a-kind hand-painted silk scarf (non-silk options options are available by advancence request).

Star and her hubby Phil and other Mayu Silk Art team members will be on hand throughout your visit, providing one-to-one guidance as you create your one-of-a-kind hand painted silk scarf (or other item) using the mysterious art process known as Water Marbling (or Ebru). Prices are listed below.

We’ll start with an introduction to the art and a demonstration of the basics. Then, browsee the many scarves for display to gain design ideas, pick your colors from the paint cart, and create your design under the guidance off a skilled member of our team. The final design will be uniquely yours!

Painting on water is fascinating, and NO prior experience is needed - humans of all ages, genders and abilities are welcome! (Pets are not allowed, and the studio is not open for walk-ins, but you are welcome to bring a friend or two - or three - or four….. the more the merrier!).

No charge to come and hang out. This is a great time to learn more about the art and get information about our events and classes, wholesale and custom ordering, and private or corporate parties.

Complimentary self-serve hot and cold beverages will be provided, or BYO food/alcohol. That said, this is an art studio. Please be kind. For the safety and well-being of all in attendance, we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who appears to be intoxicated or under the influence.
