Les Tartes de Chaumont-Gistoux - 10 km loop walk !

This Sunday , we go to the commune of Chaumont-Gistoux – famous for its tarts supplied to the King of Belgium on a surprise visit many years ago.

We meet at Les Tartes de Chaumont-Gistoux at 1000. Park where you can , for example by the Eglise Saint-Jean-Baptiste .Please arrive early if you wish to join the queue for your favourite tart ! You can buy after the walk, but many (of your favourite) tarts may be sold out by lunchtime. See details below :

This 10 km walk will take us through the woods and back via the Tart Shop.

We follow the hike clockwise . The walk will look something like :

We plan to leave on time (arrive extra early if you want to buy a tart) . If you are late , then follow the map clockwise to catch us up.

The weather looks good , so please take plenty of water plus hat/cap/headcover.

After the hike , we will eat at Le P’tit Creux friterie (Rue de Corroy 3 , 1325 Chaumont-Gistoux)) , close to the start point. This is a nice friterie well known for its mussels .

This a fairly easy walk , but please be sure to wear good walking clothes and shoes.
