Curling Club Zemst - 10 Km loop walk
Details
Hi WW's,
Some of you may know the winter sport 'Curling' which is an Olympic sport taking place on ice. I thought that Curling originated in Scotland , but it seems that the Low Countries and Asian countries also have claim to the origins of the sport.
This Sunday , we shall do a walk from the Zemst Curling Club where the sport is done inside ! The Apres Walk will be in the Curling Club where drinks are available. However, you should bring your own food if you want to eat. I have just been advised that the Curling Club might offer us some snacks as a welcome to Curling !
More information about the curling club is below :
Curling Club Zemst – Onze passie, onze sport
For those who want to watch the Belgian national curling team training, they will be on the ice from 0900. You might want to arrive early to watch the training. After the walk , you can see regular curling club members on the ice.
The walk should look like this :
The walk may be adapted depending on conditions.
As usual , we plan to leave on time. If you are late , please use the map to catch us up. Wear appropriate clothes and footwear for autumn weather. plus snacks and drink to keep you going.
Well behaved dogs are welcome. Please ensure that local regulations are respected.
Due to a significant increase in Meetup membership fees , we politely ask you for a one off yearly contribution of Euro 10 for all WW events.
If you have any questions, you can contact me on 0472 613518.
See you on Sunday. Rory.
