How does staying at a 250-acre retreat on the Eastern Shore sound? One that has over a mile of waterfront? Last year we found this extraordinary retreat with 3 houses on it that sleeps 30+. Some of the amenities include: a 10’ x 60’ screened-in porch with hot tub, a tennis and basketball court, a 30’ x 35’ rec room, a pool table and ping-pong table, a fire pit that seats 25, and a swimming pool. That's not even including the proximity to Barren Island Wildlife Sanctuary, Taylor's Island Wildlife Management Area, the Blackwater River and the Chesapeake Bay. Here's a link to the property:

We need a minimum of 30 people to make this event possible. We paid the 50% deposit to secure the venue last June. Because of this, we need a financial commitment from those that plan to attend. The per person cost for this event is $190. **Once people sign up, I'll send a message on how to pay your deposit. A non-refundable $100 deposit will be required to secure your place.** (This is necessary because we’ve had people drop out of events at the last minute and the people that did attend wound up having to pay more than they had planned to make up the difference) Most of our events have a waitlist and I imagine there will be people waiting to take your place if something unexpected arises that prevents you from attending.

This year we’ll be having group breakfasts to include foods like breakfast strada, quiche, baked oatmeal, fruit, etc. We’ll also have a lunch bar to include meats, cheese, breads, condiments, fruit, pb&j, snacks, etc. to pack for our paddles. We’ll have a potluck dinner on Friday night, dinner at Old Salty’s on Saturday night and crabs on Sunday night
