Kayak the Upper Uwharrie

Tut-tut, it looks like rain--lots of it--coming to the piedmont Sunday. I'm hoping that keeps the Uwharrie flowing well enough to make a paddle worthwhile. I can't do it until Friday (the 11th of July), but with any luck it should still be in good shape by then. Who's available that day? Short notice, I know, but with the Uwharrie, one must paddle when the water's right, or not at all.

We'll meet at Low Water Bridge (see map) at ten, prep boats, position recovery vehicles, and set off. Should take about three hours. Lunch in Albemarle afterwards for those interested.
