Kayaking on the Dan River

More details will follow, but this is just to save the date. The Dan is a dam-controlled river with class 2+ rapids. There's an outfitter on site who will take our boats to their private put-in for a small fee, and they have boats and gear for rent, too. Take out is back at their facility co-located with the Green Heron Tavern, which can be a pretty interesting place on a Saturday afternoon in the summer.
