URBAN WALK 14: Sunset Walk in Wadi Hanifa (16+ km)

For our next Urban Walk, we will meet at sunset to return to Wadi Hanifah, following the Sports Boulevard trail. It will be a different walk than the two previous Wadi Hanifah walks.

The full out-and-back walk will cover up to 16 km. However, you will be able to shorten the walk by turning around earlier or taking an Uber at any time.

Meeting point:
We’ll meet directly at the walk starting point in Wadi Hanifah, which will be shared with walk participants by the morning of the event (by private message and as a private comment on this event). Free parking is available, and this location is accessible by taxi. Please allow ample time to arrive on time, as the walk will depart promptly.

Schedule:

• 6:50 PM: Gather at the meeting point.
• 7:00 PM: Brief introduction to the route.
• 7:05 PM: Begin walk.
• 10:00 PM: Estimated return to starting point.

Important notes:

• Walk departs promptly at 7:05pm.
• I will lead this walk at a moderately brisk pace. However, individuals are welcome to set their own pace, and you will be able to join a WhatsApp group at the starting point to help you track the route and reconnect if needed.
• This is a free, informal activity. Unlike our Saturday hikes, you can leave the walk whenever it suits you: there’s no check-out.
• I will not be able to respond to texts and messages before or during the walk.

It’s a great opportunity to get some exercise, meet new people, and enjoy Riyadh’s urban landscape.
