The walk

Carole & Julie are leading this 8.5 mile walk, Leaving the Golden Cock we will make our way to Castle Hill, onwards to Brockholes, Holme Valley following the riverside path up to Thurstonland and then back to the cars.

The distance is 8.5 miles.

Meeting:
Usually, we gather from 10.00 to 10.15 to start the walk at 10.30 from the Meeting Place and are circular unless otherwise indicated.

Note:
Walking boots, waterproofs and a packed lunch are required.
We do not allow dogs as we go through many farmer's fields with livestock.
As well as the Meetup members shown we also have members of BSW and CHA making a group of 6 to 16

Fees
New membership for 2025 is £10 for 100's of walks with any of our 6 mid-week groups. For anyone who is not an annual member, we ask for a £1 donation toward our admin and insurance costs.

Please pay the Walk leader on the day.
