AI can be a helpful tool for busy entrepreneurs. However, before you unleash your creativity with the latest AI tools, there are a few things you should know. We'll explain the basics of how AI works, touch on some of the main ethical concerns surrounding generative AI and provide some tips to help mitigate major risks including copyright infringement, privacy and bias.
Katrina Ingram, A member of Wayfinders Business Co-operative, is a leading expert and advisor in responsible AI governance and data ethics with over two decades of experience in the technology and media sectors. Named one of the 100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics, Katrina has served as the City of Edmonton's Data Ethics Advisor, is a member of the Calgary Police Services Technology Ethics Committee and adjunct faculty with the University of Alberta. She developed Canada's first micro-credential in AI ethics with Athabasca University and has developed courses on AI governance, Responsible AI and data ethics. Katrina holds a business undergrad from Simon Fraser University, master's in communications and technology from the University of Alberta and is an IAPP certified privacy professional.
