About us
A midweek pause for spiritual travelers to gather for contemplation and reflection. Our service begins with a sung call to prayer. It incudes a passage of scripture or holy writing from various mystical traditions followed by a few very brief remarks. We then chant passages from various holy writings that last five minutes each and are interspersed with readings. We also have a short period of silence and later in the service any who wish to participate can light a prayer candle, have a few minutes of prayer at the altar or receive a private blessing that is usually accompanied by an anointing with oil on the forehead. Our services draw largely on the Christian traditions of contemplative prayer but also draw inspiration from the mystical traditions of other faiths.
We gather every Wednesday at 6:30pm in the chapel at Cathedral of the Rockies at 717 N 11th St. in Boise.
