February Meeting and Hackfest of the Chicago GNU/Linux User Group

We've scheduled our next meeting for Saturday, February 22nd, with formal talks starting at 2:00 pm. We'll be meeting at our regular spot, Pumping Station: One.

For those who are interested, we'll also have some time before the meeting for some informal project hacking. The informal, pre-meeting hacking will start at 12:00 pm. If you don't want to work on projects, feel free to just show up close to 2:00 pm.

Lincoln Bryant of the University of Chicago will give a talk on how university sysadmins use Puppet to manage their servers. Also, Wally Valters of Matasano Security will talk about server security, emphasizing techniques for securing cloud servers.

Hope to see you there!

    Hi All,

I've just added info about an additional speaker that we will have. Wally Valters of Matasano Security will talk about server security, emphasizing techniques for securing cloud servers.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Personally, Jim, I think you're being far too nice. It's only confusing if you lack reading comprehension skills.

Joseph, we share this meetup group with a couple of other Linux groups. I know it can get a bit confusing sometimes.

I'll be in L.A. for SCaLE that weekend. And I was so looking forward to being there to dissuade people from using Puppet ;)
