DEMAND:Trafficking Awareness Film Screening and Panel Discuss
The DC Love146 Taskforce along with the Mount Vernon Place United Methodist Church will be hosting a screening of Shared Hope International's short film “DEMAND”. The film will be a followed by a panel discussion, including Shared Hope Communications Manager, Susanna Bean . Please join us at this event to help raise awareness about the issue of human trafficking in the DMV and around the world. This documentary, produced by Shared Hope International, focuses on how demand fuels sex trafficking and highlights how various forms of sexual exploitation and sex trafficking are connected. DEMAND: Trafficking Awareness Film Screening and Panel Discuss Date: April 25, 2018 Time: 7-9:30 PM Place: 900 Massachusetts Avenue, NW Directions: The church is located at the intersection of 9th Street and Massachusetts Avenue NW. Limited metered street parking is available and there are parking lots nearby at New York Avenue and 9th Street. There are nearby Metro strops at Gallery Place, Convention Center, and Metro Center. Several bus routes are nearby. The Circulator also has nearby stops. Check for information about public transit.

    We are a community group of purpose, goals, and action. We seek to combat modern slavery, which is the economic exploitation of individuals through the use of violence and coercion, and human trafficking, which is the modern-day slave trade. Come join us and explore how you can take part!
