Abby Covert (she/her) is an information architect, writer, and community organizer who specializes in helping people make the unclear, clear.
She has written three books on sensemaking: How to Make Sense of Any Mess (2014), Stuck? Diagrams Help. (2022), and Timeless Sensemaking for Modern Sensemakers (2026).
In 2020, she left her corporate career as an information architect to focus on independent publishing and community building. Since then, she launched Makesensemess, an annual storytelling event celebrating sensemakers, and founded The Sensemakers Club. As Chief Sensemaker, she now leads a global community of 170+ members — tracking conversation trends, developing new discussion leaders, and mentoring Sensemakers in Residence as they explore community-powered education.
Abby lives and writes from Melbourne, Florida, where her most important job title is 'Mom'.
