About us
Hello! We Are Tomfooligans is a social group that is created with fun, activism, and connection in mind. We want to create events that are centered around simple joy and positivity. Rather than have us volunteer together and that be it, I'd like us all to do general community service adjacent topics with a minute twist.
One example for an event that conceptualizes this group is a day where we all dress up as wizards* and pick up litter at a park/sidewalk, etc. I think It would be so funny to drive down the street and see a bunch of Merlin's picking up trash. We have done this in the past and it was quite successful. Another example I've been curious about is to knock on someone's house and have tea :)
Our community is precious and I believe that we could all foster social connection through randomness. The point is to either be a source of conversation or spark it with others.
I hope I can meet other like-minded individuals that care about our community and want to take a more active role in what it means to be a member. It would be amazing to hear from you all for ideas of events that we could do as well.
*When I say Wizard, I don't mean it in a gendered sense, strictly the look of an academic scholar of the supernatural arts. Dress however you want that embodies this idea :)
