We are a community of all experience level photographers who enjoy exploring with cameras in hand! We focus on being active and social. Your hosts believe the craft of photography is best when shared with others that understand your passion, view of the world, and desire to create works of art from the beauty of the Phoenix Area. Your hosts are dedicated to the group and look forward to remaining active year-round and keep this community fully engaged in getting out and being active in the local area multiple times a month.
If you are a highly experienced looking to get out or a newbie looking to understand your camera and photography basics, we are the community for you. \

See all- Tucson Getaway-Friday Night Milky WayDouglas Springs Trailhead, Tucson, AZ
We have separated the Tucson outings into 2 days so we have a better idea of how many people will be attending each event.
On Friday July 25 we will photograph the Milky way in Tucson at Douglas Springs Trailhead (This trailhead is at the end of Speedway Blvd near the Rincon Mountains). The Milky Way is scheduled to rise around 8:59 PM. We will meet at around 8:00 PM at the trailhead to allow everyone time to find a spot where they feel comfortable (and not in front of another photographer). We have reserved a room at Embassy Suites by Hilton Tucson East. You are welcome to get a room and spend the night as the following Saturday we will be heading to the Center for Creative Photography at the UofA (see separate Meetup). We will put out a full itinerary in the next week to include a dinner option, breakfast (for those staying at hotel) and schedule for the Center for Creative Photography. More to come!
