Joel spent 2010-2014 at Netflix, while the company shifted from a DVD-by-mail to a streaming service, moved from on-premise to the AWS cloud, and went from a US-only service to an international company.
He'll share his learnings from those years, talk about the renowned Netflix culture, and his time within the Data Science and Engineering teams there, working at scale.
Joel now lives and works in Wellington and is the CTO of Trove NZ a fintech funded by Forsyth Barr.
