Camping at Salton Sea! ($45)

Pack up your sleeping bags and get ready for another fun weekend spent sleeping under the stars! We'll be trekking out to Salton Sea State Recreation Area and exploring some of the memorable hikes in the area as well as some quirky cultural gems like Slab City, Salvation Mountain, and the International Banana Museum (don't even act like that didn't pique your interest).

So whether you're looking to spend a weekend recharging in nature, exploring some bizarre roadside attractions, or simply hanging fireside with some great peeps, Salton Sea has something for EVERYONE. As always, no camping experience required and first-timers totally welcome!

NOTE: This event is cross posted on a few different groups, but we will do our best to keep the RSVP list current.

THE CAMPSITE

*About 3hrs from LA at Salton Sea State Recreation Area
*We'll have 4 sites next to each other which can accommodate a total of 24 ppl and 8 cars. (We'll help facilitate carpools for everyone).
*Flush toilets, paid showers, and running water are on site.
*Each campsite has a picnic table and a fire ring with a grill.

• One of the four sites will be the designated "hang out" spot for campfires and breakfasts.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

*Firewood for one of the fire pits for both nights.
*Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday (which will include eggs, sausage, hash browns and a selection of bagels, oatmeal, yogurt, breakfast bars, orange juice, coffee, and tea).
*Hot cocoa and s'mores making paraphernalia (marshmallows, grahams, and chocolate)
*Cookies! (Because Tania always bakes cookies).
*Access to a three camping stoves and fuel for your cooking needs (as well as a few pots and pans)
*A hammock (provided there's somewhere for us to hang it). *TO RESERVE A SPOT

NOTE: If you haven't sent payment within 24hrs of RSVPing, you will be moved to the waitlist. Only payment confirms your RSVP. On Monday, March 12th, we'll send out an Attendee Questionnaire via email to all confirmed attendees to help facilitate carpools arrangements, breakfast planning, and food sharing preferences. You can also let us know if you don't have a tent and we'll help match you up with someone who has either a spare tent or some extra space in theirs.

On Monday, March 19th, all confirmed attendees will receive a Welcome Pack via email with info regarding carpools and tent shares, as well as directions, weather forecast, and a basic packing list.
