Spring-Break “Festival of Fun” Camp-Out ($50)

Longing for the days of yore when Spring brought with it that glorious gift known as Spring Break? Us too! That’s why we’re coming at you with a PLAY-full weekend carefully crafted to give YOU a much needed “break” from the seriousness of adulting.

Note: This event is cross-posted on multiple different groups so we’ll be keeping the actual number of RSVP’s updated with +1s.

We’ve reserved a 100-person campsite at Silverwood State Recreation Area and we’re turning it into a veritable playground where you can relax, unwind, and- should your heart so desire- get silly AF. From the moment you arrive at our pop-up playground, you'll be invited to reconnect with your inner wonder-junkie and color outside of the proverbial lines. More quiet caterpillar than social butterfly? Don’t worry we’ve got your covered. We’ll have a variety of activities ranging from the more social to the more contemplative and we’ll foster an environment where we’re sure you’ll feel welcome and included! Along with camping, weekend activities will include such things like:

*A weekend-long game of “Assassin" (to help everyone get to know each-other)
*An Easter egg hunt
*A photo scavenger hunt
*A (totally optional) Color-Wars style team-competition chock full of silliness, messiness, and fun.
*A game station (stocked with classics like Trouble, Uno, and Twister)
*A craft station (where you can color to your hearts content or make a friendship bracelet for a new friend)
*A photobooth (so that you can memorialize the day you met your new BFF)
*and a few extra surprises along the way. Take part in any (or all) activities, or get away for a few hours and explore one of the many beautiful trails in the area. Whatever you do, ditch the doldrums and come play the weekend away (we promise the "real world" will still be there when you get back!)

THE CAMPGROUND

• About 1.5hrs from LA at ‪Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area‬
• Site holds up to 100ppl and 30 cars, but to make sure we can provide everyone with the best experience possible, we are limiting attendance to 65 people.
• Flush toilets, showers, and running water are on site.
  -One large fire pit and two large grills available for cooking and campfire bonding.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

• Tons of Fun!
• Firewood
• ‪Breakfast on Saturday‬ and Sunday (which will include eggs, sausage, and hash browns, as well as a selection of bagels, oatmeal, yogurt, breakfast bars, orange juice, coffee, and tea).
• Hot cocoa and s'mores making paraphernalia
• Access to four camping stoves (as well as a few pots and pans) for your cooking needs.
  -Surprise baked goods (because Tania ALWAYS bakes something).

-If your name on Venmo is diffident than your name on MeetUp, please include your name as it appears on MeetUp with your payment.

NOTE: if you have not submitted payment within 24hrs of RSVPing, you may be moved to the waitlist in order to make room for someone else. Only payment confirms your RSVP.

On Monday, March 19th we’ll send out an Attendee Questionnaire via email to all confirmed attendees to help facilitate carpool arrangements and breakfast planning. You will also be able to let us know if you don’t have a tent and we’ll help match you up with someone who has either a spare tent or some extra space in theirs.

On Monday, March 26th all confirmed attendees will receive a Welcome Pack via email with info regarding carpools and tent shares, as well directions, weather forecast, a FUN-tinerary, and a basic packing list.
