Camping @ Big Bear! ($45)

Looking for a break from the summer heat? Us too! That's why we've decided to trek up a mountain where there's plenty of shade and temperatures won't break past the low 80s.

This time, we'll be pitching our tents in the San Bernardino National Forest (just south of Big Bear Lake) where you can spend the weekend hiking nearby trails or enjoying all that Big Bear Lake has to offer-- swimming, boat rentals, jet skis... We'll also string up a hammock and have games on hand for those looking for a more relaxing weekend. So come for the fun (or just a break from the sun), and make the most of the summer weekend.

THE CAMPGROUND

• About 3-3.5hrs from LA in the San Bernardino National Forest
• Site holds up to 40ppl but only 8 cars, so we're capping it at 30ppl.
• Vault toilets located on site.
• Fire pits and charcoal grills available. (Though there is currently a fire restriction in effect that may not lift before the end of the month, so there's a chance we won't be able to have a campfire).
• Plenty of shade!
• Tons of awesome hikes within 10, 20, and 40minutes drive. (Details will be included in your welcome packs).
• 20 mins from Big Bear Lake.
• No water on-site!!

WHAT'S INCLUDED

• Two fun days spent hanging with awesome humans! And...
• Breakfasts (which will include eggs, sausage, and hash browns, as well as a selection of bagels, oatmeal, yogurt, breakfast bars, orange juice, coffee, and tea).
• Firewood (provided the fire ban is lifted).
• Plates, cups, cutlery.
• 15gal drinking water (since there is no water on site)
• Hot cocoa and s'mores making paraphernalia.
• Access to four camping stoves (as well as a few pots and pans) for your cooking needs. We'll provide the necessary fuel.
• Surprise baked goods (because Tania ALWAYS bakes something).
• A hammock for your lounging pleasure.

NOTE: Only PAYMENT confirms your RSVP, so if you have not submitted payment, you may be moved to the waitlist in order to make room for someone else.

Starting Wednesday, August 15th, we’ll send out an Attendee Questionnaire via email to all confirmed attendees to help facilitate carpool arrangements and breakfast planning. You will also be able to let us know if you do not have a tent and we’ll match you with someone who has either a spare one or some extra space in theirs.

On Monday, August 20th, all confirmed attendees will receive a Welcome Pack with info regarding carpools and tent shares as well directions, weather forecast, and a basic packing list.

NO REFUNDS after Aug 17th unless we find a replacement for your spot.

MORE DETAILS ON CARPOOLS

Since there's a limit on the number of cars that we can have at the campsite, everyone will have to carpool. This means that at least 6 cars will have 4ppl in them and the other 2 cars will have 3ppl in them. For this reason, driver preference will be given to those will the most spacious cars.

Based on your responses to the Attendee Questionnaire, we will organize a carpool for you and do our best to match you up with people near your area and that can leave around the same time as you. Everyone will have to be flexible, though. No carpool list can accommodate everyone's preferences, but with everyone's patience and cooperation, we can all have a great weekend!
