HAPPY NEW YEAR.
An easy, peaceful , dramatically beautiful stroll on a well-groomed wide gentle rolling trail, showcasing a massive (500,000 yrs ago) shocking ancient landslide with some intriguing geological formations in mushroom-shaped rocks, grand vistas and interpretive signs through-out.
🚗from 101 (in phoenix), take exit 36/Pima/Princess and head north. Drive On Pima for 6M to happy valley rd. Turn 👉right/east onto happy valley and drive 4.5M to e Ranch gate rd. Turn 👉right/east onto e ranch gate and go 1.25M to n. 128th. Turn 👉right/south onto n 128th and continue 1.5M to the preserve gate.
***Pace - Always mellow(!) with multiple stops.
Temps. - 54, cloudy, no rain.👍
We'll meet at the Tom Thumb TH (restrooms but no water) @ 740 and start walking at 745
