Details

Due to my COVID positive status, I'm moving this event to two separate future hikes. Monday, May 30th (8 am) and Sunday, June 5th (8 am).

The Misson of #wehiketoheal is to encourage women all over the world to tap into the healing and empowering influences within ourselves, our communities and the Great Outdoors.

**
We will set out on an easy/moderate group hike together at the beautiful Placerita Canyon State Park. The hike will be just under 4 miles in total.

We will take a break from the walk halfway through for a guided journaling session and group chat about our individual and collective experiences, and reflections about the healing capacity of both nature and community. This journaling session will take place at picnic tables in a verdant field about 2 miles into the walk. I will provide light snacks to enjoy.

HIKE DIFFICULTY: This is an easy-to-moderate level hike with periodic shade. There are a few small streams to cross (over rocks or dirt), and minimal elevation gain. We will walk at a leisurely pace, but you should feel ready to walk four miles in total.

WHAT TO WEAR / BRING: Please wear closed-toe athletic shoes (sneakers or hiking shoes), and wear athletic clothing suited for the temperature. Make sure to wear sunscreen and bring water / backpack with any additional snacks or layers you might need.

I will provide a complimentary journal for each person, and pens.

Once you register, I will send a liability form to fill out.

When you RSVP, please also register as a #wehiketoheal participant here: https://www.outdoorjournaltour.com/wehiketoheal-challenge-registration/
