Hike Beacon Hill Trail With a Griffith Park Ranger!

Every season Ranger Ernie Ybara leads free group hikes throughout Griffith Park, so I figured why not tag along with our We Like LAers?

There are 5 hikes scheduled for the Spring (http://www.welikela.com/ranger-ernie-hikes-spring-2015/), and I've targeted a hike on Sunday April 19th for the Beacon Hill Trail as our group meet-up target.

I sent Ernie an inquiry email and he said groups up to 30 would be ok, so rather than monopolize that total amount, I'm going to set the RVSP limit to 15. Once we've filled up that RVSP count I'll shoot him an email just letting him know we have a group coming to join for the day.

*** Please, if you RSVP, be considerate and show up! If you can't make it, try to give 48 hours cancelation notice! I'm seriously considering a 3-strikes policy for no-shows... but I'm not there just yet ***

Anyways, more info...

The total distance we're expected to cover is 4 miles. It is considered an intermediate hike, and Ranger Ernie says on his Facebook page that the hike will end before noon (I expect a bit earlier than that).

Dogs are ok, just keep them leased. And of course all the usualhike pre-requisites apply, water, good shoes, sunscreen, hike appropriate clothing, all that good stuff.
