Itinerary:
Saturday 6/7 (3 miles)
- We'll meet at Vivian Creek Trailhead at 3:30 PM. Carpooling is encouraged!
- Hike 3 miles to Halfway Camp (this is a primitive camp, no bathrooms, water, etc.). We’ll set up basecamp here and stay overnight.
Sunday 6/8 (14 miles)
- Hike to San Gorgonio Summit. Camping gear can be left at basecamp.
- Descend back to basecamp to pack up and head back home, for a total of 14 miles.
What You’ll Need to Bring:
- Water filtration drops or a water filter
- Backpack and overnight gear to camp Saturday night
- Toilet paper, trowel, and waste bags
- A puffy/down jacket and rain jacket in case of inclement weather
- Enough bottles/bladders to carry at least 3 liters of water
- Food: 1 dinner, 1 lunch, 1 breakfast, and enough snacks to fuel you for the total of 17 miles
