She's an icon, she's a legend, she's everyone's favorite chip-shaped rock formation! Come get your Potato Chip Rock pics for the gram or just get a good hike in. We're heading up Mt. Woodson to mount this potato.
About the Route
This 7 mile trail offers scenic views of the Pacific, North County and Ramona with the bonus of a big ole rock to climb at the top. We'll take the pace easy so everyone can make it to the top for their photo op!
Where We’ll Meet
We’ll meet in front of the Lake Poway Recreation Office, which is in the parking lot near the trailhead. There is a $10 parking fee per car, so feel free to arrange carpooling in the comments!
What To Bring
- Plenty of water!!! Bring more than you think you will need.
- Snacks (potato chips optional)
- Friendly dogs welcome
- Sun protection/sunscreen
- Trekking poles recommended
