Callum Akehurst Ryan - Exploratory Testing - Ask Me Anything!

Throughout Callum's 15+ year career he has had a variety of roles as a Test Engineer, Test Lead, Project Manager and Agile coach.

As a result he has a well rounded approach to leadership in an Agile environment, both as part of test and the wider team including stakeholder management and the provision of team KPI. In addition to being a servant leader and facilitating team discussions, Callum doesn't shy away from decision making and will always work with people to find the best outcomes possible.

In this session Callum will cover the following:

• What is exploratory testing (finding and sharing information).
• How to come up with test ideas by breaking an item into components, risks and tests.
• Writing test charters using Explore… With… to Discover syntax.
• Running test sessions and taking notes
• Working together to understand what a debrief is and how we can use our test notes to share information (good, bad and questions).

This will be an interactive session and questions are encouraged to help stimulate discussion and debate around all aspects of exploratory testing. Nothing is off limits!
