Bowfinger stars Steve Martin as a desperate Hollywood hustler who hatches a wild plan to make a blockbuster by secretly filming a paranoid action superstar played by Eddie Murphy - who has no idea he’s in the movie. Determined to succeed, the ragtag crew barrels ahead with chaotic guerrilla filmmaking, turning every accidental encounter into “scenes” for their film.

As the lies pile up and the stunts get riskier, Murphy’s dual performances - as the egotistical star and his timid look-alike - drive the comedy to absurd heights. Bowfinger is a sharp, fast, and delightfully silly send-up of showbiz desperation and DIY filmmaking gone completely off the rails.
