Anatomy of a Fall (2023) is a French legal drama about a writer, Sandra, accused of murdering her husband, Samuel, after he falls to his death from their chalet in the French Alps, with their partially-sighted son Daniel as the key witness. The film follows the sensationalized trial, which dissects the couple's tumultuous relationship through evidence, including a recorded argument, forcing the audience to question the truth behind the ambiguous death a murder, suicide, or accident. Directed by Justine Triet, it explores themes of truth, perception, and memory, winning the Palme d'Or at Cannes.
