The Princess and the Frog (2009) is a Disney animated musical set in 1920s New Orleans, featuring Tiana, a hardworking waitress who dreams of opening a restaurant, and Prince Naveen, who is turned into a frog by a voodoo witch doctor, Dr. Facilier. After kissing the frog prince, Tiana also becomes a frog, and they embark on an adventure through the bayou with a jazz-loving alligator and a firefly to break the curse, learning about love and hard work along the way. The film is known for its hand-drawn animation, memorable music by Randy Newman, and for introducing Disney's first African-American princess.
