Leen Li, Head of Finance
Leen is the Head of Finance at Wealthsimple, an online investment service that makes investing accessible and affordable for everyone. Leen joins Wealthsimple from Influitive, where she led the finance and operations teams. At Influitive, Leen was a founding member and helped to grow the business from zero to $10M ARR, raise $50M from VCs, and expand the company operations to multiple offices across North America. Prior to Influitive, Leen held a number of positions at financial services and software companies.
Sam Power, Dev Manager
Sam is the software development manager for the Accounting engineering team at Wealthsimple. A Ryerson alumni with a passion for psychology, design, and technology, she started her career in web development by taking part in HackerYou's first full time web development cohort. She's a strong believer in the possibilities of web software as a conduit for positive social change. Sam spends her spare time reading, discovering Toronto, and volunteering with community organizations like the Rotary Club, and Out of the Cold in Toronto.
Robyn Ross, Senior Director of Business Operations
Robyn joined Wealthsimple earlier this year to lead Business Operations. Since that time, she has been focused on scaling client-operations globally across the US, UK and Canada. Prior to Wealthsimple, Robyn led the Canadian business for Tilt, a SF-based payments app since acquired by Airbnb, growing Canada to be the company’s largest and most cost-efficient market. Other previous roles include Bain & Co, Motus Inc. and coaching women’s lacrosse at Queen’s University. Robyn studied psychology and French at Union College in NY and completed her MBA at Rotman School of Management.
Mallory Greene, Talent Acquisition and Special Projects
Mallory Greene works on the People Operations team at Wealthsimple, where she leads non-technical recruiting and special projects for the company. She joined the fast-growing startup shortly after launch in 2014, and initially led offline marketing initiatives such as press, events and sponsorships. From marketing intern to leading special projects, she's done it all at Wealthsimple. In her spare time, you can find her on Pinterest (follow me!) or giving back to the communities where we work and live.
Leah Buchholz, Talent Acquisition Lead
Leah Buchholz leads Talent Acquisition at Wealthsimple. She comes with a diverse background with a masters in Speech-Language Pathology and accompanying experience working in clinics, as well as having served as a policy advisor in the federal government. From her varied professional career, Leah strongly believes that diversity of experiences and backgrounds only serves to strengthen an individual team and company at large.
