The Desk Drawer Exhibition /Build an Art Collection to Exhibit

* As part of a new and exciting Online Exhibition that's open for all We Are Artists' members to take part in! *

We’re so excited to bring this project to the community! Conceived as a source of inspiration for artists to gain confidence in creating their own collections to exhibit, this project is a chance to take part and have your work shown in an online exhibition.

The Desk Drawer exhibition will be an online exhibition, made up of mini exhibitions, that’s been created by and for the We Are Artists Community.
Over the course of a month, to coincide with the submission period for the exhibition, we shall run various sessions and workshops relating to the exhibition as a way to support participants, as well as create together in a group setting.

This second session is all about Building an Art Collection. Led by Cindy Haustant, who will share their knowledge and experience of recent collections they have exhibited at private galleries. Cindy will give valuable insight on the processes they go through in creating and presenting a body of work, looking at ways to develop themes and turn them into articulate art pieces to show.

The session will take the form of a short talk and discussion/Q&A for any specific queries members may have. The aim will be to support artists to prepare and create their works to submit for the Desk Drawer Exhibition.

Following on from this, there will be two Creating Sessions on 10 August and 17 August.

About Cindy Haustant
Cindy’s multidisciplinary work explores human nature and its relationship with society, navigating the primitive and instinctive aspects of our being against society. Their work is a conversation about the way, us humans, reprogram ourselves under the veil of society, education, or communities without acknowledging it and the cost of it all.
