When developing software we have certain goals in mind. Be it a particular experience when interacting with it, a higher conversion rate of potential customers or something else entirely. Still, users always find ways to surprise and delight with novel ideas on how to use it in spite of our best efforts. So, what can we do about that?
Dark patterns, of course! But what if we don't want to be pure evil? Maybe we only want to be chaotic neutral. That's where Nudging (aka Choice Architecture, aka Behavioural Economics) comes in. We will learn what it is and how to use it to guide user behaviour.

Ever forgotten to add a port forwarding rule in Docker? Annoying to restart the container, right? But how does port forwarding between a container and a host even work? What about container-to-container communication, and what exactly are virtual Ethernet bridges? Wait, how do cgroups and namespaces relate to all this?
Let’s continue my "Docker * without Docker" series and dive into the depths of Docker networking - without worrying too much about Docker itself. What does Linux offer? How can we build something like this from scratch? Maybe even directly in the terminal?
