+++ Passwords are so 1990! +++
In this talk, I will give a quick overview of the past, present, and future of authentication. From basic authentication to passwordless biometric authentication using the web authentication API and the recently announced passkeys, and everything in between. The audience does not need any specific knowledge as this talk will not go into implementation details but aims to give a view of what’s to come in terms of authentication.
+++ The Reactive Revelation: An Introduction to Svelte +++
After predecessors like React or Vue have firmly established the approach of component-driven frontends, Svelte stepped in to rethink and improve crucial aspects. Since the release of version 3, Svelte has been gaining momentum and is being used more and more.
This talk provides a fundamental introduction to Svelte and answers the following questions:
* What is Svelte?
* What sets it apart from other component frameworks?
* What does component development with Svelte look like?
## Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
## Learning Objectives
The audience will gain a basic understanding of what Svelte offers, how it differs from comparable products, and will be able to create simple components with Svelte.
