UPDATE: The date has changed to Tuesday

This week we will be joined by Adam Lemmon and Michael Gord, two talented Ethereum developers who have flown in from Canada to compete in #RegHackDownUnder (https://reghack.org), Australia’s first regulatory hackathon to be held at RMIT over the 12-14th May weekend.

Adam and Michael will be having a short fireside chat with ConsenSys director and #RegHack organizer Chami Akmeemana before providing us with a deep-dive session into smart contract development using Ethereum’s Solidity language. Smart contracts are the brains of any Ethereum application; the Canadian duo will be taking us through a hands-on guide to using the Truffle development environment to create smart contracts, the various functions and use-cases for smart contracts, and finally how to deploy and interact with contracts using Microsoft’s Azure Blockchain as a Service.

Also during this session, ConsenSys director and #RegHackDownUnder organizer Chami Akmeemana will be hosting a brief Q&A session to address questions and concerns regarding the upcoming hackathon event.
