Yay! We are back with a bang! We are moving to a new venue not far away from last one. This is Barclays Rise, a sleek FinTech incubator that are all about creating the next generation of crypto and DeFi services.

Doors will open at 5:45 PM, to start at 6:00 PM and be gone by 8pm. Remember to get in time so you don't miss out if we reach full capacity!

Today we are announcing Rachel Black. It's time to get excited about financial services again. We know that the DeFi space is a little intimidating for most people, but we're here to tell you that it doesn't have to be! Rachel will talk about how gamification can help make using DeFi more fun and engaging. Super cool! ✨🚀

Talks:

• Making DeFi fun with Gamification by Rachel Black

Rachel is the founder of GoodGhosting, the DeFi saving protocol helping their users get better financial habits. She has been working in the crypto/ web3 space since 2018 and is passionate about building web3 products that are accessible to all.

In this talk, Rachel will explore how gamification can bring extra excitement and engagement to the space. DeFi offers users higher returns, and a more transparent financial system. However it is not always fun to use.

• How to start your own DAO by Robert Berrisford

Robert is a digital marketer and entrepreneur. He used to be involved in e-commerce back in the 90s, but quit when he discovered his passion for finding funny pictures on Instagram instead. Robert invested in bitcoin as soon as he heard about it back in 2014, but had doubts about the token economy until last November.

DAOs are part of the ongoing wave of decentralisation in all things, from currencies to social networks, so it's no surprise that they would come up in the business world. As with any new technology, there are some serious kinks to work out, but once they are ironed out, they'll be here to stay. In this talk, I'll cover everything for creating your own DAO out of thin air.

• Web3 Fashion: So hot rn by Edua Sykes

Edua is a writer, entrepreneur and digital fashion consultant from Mexico. She connects traditional brands with the world of web3 fashion. She has organised multiple events for the NFT community, including KnownOrigin's Digital Natives in Manchester and Cult Couture, a digital fashion exhibition in the metaverse. She sees the Web3 as a revolution that will catapult the fashion industry to reach its greatest potential.

In this talk, I will give you a heads-up on Web3 and decentralised commerce. Then I will tell you how fashion will be transformed in the metaverse with VR wearables and interoperability, and suggest ways to move your physical assets into the metaverse.

Panel: Web3, Film3 and beyond

• Miguel Faus is a bold award-winning filmmaker who's making history by creating the first European movie ever funded with NFTs. His short Calladita has been selected at many top festivals worldwide and acquired by HBO in the U.S. Variety featured him last year as one of the rising star filmmakers from Spain.
• Omri Bouton is an associate at Sheridans and focuses on Financial technology, particularly crypto assets and distributed ledger technology; intellectual property rights and related commercial matters. He has worked very closely with some of the largest projects in this space.
• Taylor Munroe is a young entrepreneur who has been collecting all his life. From sports cards & memorabilia, vintage BMXs, Pokémon and now NFTs. This transition into web3 has been extremely smooth and has enjoyed bringing new ideas to life. Most recently being FruitStars, a health and lifestyle brand, growing on the Ethereum blockchain.
