When creating solutions for the web we are often presented with decisions of “make or buy”. Should we start building from scratch, should we build on top of existing frameworks, products and services or should we just glue together the right *-as-a-Service components?

In this talk I would like to reflect on my journey of building solutions for the Open Web, how I intend to make them more sustainable and what strategies I have developed using Drupal as a framework.
