#154 - Reach peak efficiency by being vision-driven

Most software companies struggle with a perceived lack of productivity, amidst misalignment, changes in requirements, and conflicting and changing priorities.

The usual approach to resolve those issues is to adopt productivity tools, such as OKRs, scrum, GIST, Shape Up, etc. However, the problem is often much deeper: a lack of vision prevents alignment, leading to wasted work as teams move in different (and sometimes opposite) directions.

This talk will outline the importance of having a vision, what makes a vision good, and address some of the challenges that keep companies from adopting good visions.
