Anders Bjørnestad - Security and compliance when moving your workload to the Cloud

Security and compliance are areas which are important to understand when it comes to IT-systems in general. Often people tend to focus a lot on it, and also misunderstanding it, when it comes to cloud solutions and sourcing. The majority of workloads and systems can safely be moved to the Cloud, given that it is done the right way. Anders will give an overview of what you have to think about and how it works related to the big Cloud providers.

Anders Bjørnestad made his first experiences with Public Cloud back in 2010. Amongst numerous certifications he holds the “AWS Certified - Security speciality”. On a daily basis Anders is advising customers throughout Europe on a technical and strategic level, as well as delivering workshops and trainings - as an authorized instructor. He is also a co-founder of a series of Meetups and User Groups related to Public Cloud.

Ragnar Harper - Securing Workloads in the AWS Cloud

Cloud security at AWS is the highest priority. As an AWS customer, you will benefit from a data center and network architecture built to meet the requirements of the most security-sensitive organizations. An advantage of the AWS cloud is that it allows customers to scale and innovate, while maintaining a secure environment. In this session we will discuss how AWS can be used to secure cloud workloads.

Ragnar Harper is a Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services. Ragnar has in-depth knowledge of cloud technologies with a focus on architecting secure, scalable, reliable, performant and cost-efficient solutions. He is passionate about innovation and likes to experiment with emerging technologies. His solution-oriented approach includes out of the box thinking while combining in-depth knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies and practices.
