Hike The Whites Weekend @Wedeln Ski House

Details
Get up to the White Mountains for a weekend in the woods. A great time to stay at The Wedeln Ski Club house and enjoy the summer before it ends. The house borders National Forest land and we will even start one hike from the house.
Friday
The weekend will start with an optional Friday sunset hike, just 2.1 miles round trip to Black Cap. Amazing views of Conway and the mountains but make sure you bring flashlight and/or headlamp. Must be at the Wedeln Ski House by Friday at 6:15pm for this optional hike.
If you come up later we will meet you back at the ski house.
Saturday
Kearsarge North Trail - We will not start at the traditional trailhead. Instead, we will begin at The Wedeln Ski House and follow the Kyle Cabin trail, followed by a short bushwhack and join the Kearsarge trail approx 1 mile in. Total length is about 6.6 miles with some steep, rocky sections. This trail rewards hikers with an amazing 360-degree view from a famous fire tower.
We will likely do a bonfire Saturday night and toast some marshmallows, maybe some smores!
Sunday
Optional hike day in the 5 to 7 mile (TBD) range for anyone that has the energy, the route to be determined. If we have a hot day, we may go to a swimming hole on the Saco, so bring bathing suit.
Checkout time is 4pm.
Cost to stay at the house is $35 per person, per night (21+ only). Rooms are set up bunk-style so you may be in a room with another weekend participant. You are responsible for your own food (full commercial kitchen), bed sheet, pillow, blankets and gear for the hike. Make sure you have a water bottle, the tap water at the house comes from the same aquifer as some of the Poland Springs so it is super nice.
