Mohawk-Hudson Bike-Hike Trail Colonie Park MTB Trailhead, Cohoes

In the past few weeks we have walked different sections of this trail around Cohoes. This time we will head west from the trailhead on Route 9 / Loudon Rd.

Online the parking area is called MHBHT Parking, which I believe means Mohawk Hudson Bike Hike Trail. However, when I choose to get directions, it says:
Colonie Park MTB Trail Head (but, I think MTB and MHBHT mean the same thing)
1238 Loudon Rd, Cohoes, NY 12047
Also, Loudon Rd is what they call that section of Route 9.
There are about 5 or 6 designated parking spaces at this lot (on the west side of Route 9). There is also room for about 3 cars just off Fonda Rd (east side of Route 9) in front of the gates to the cement factory.

(The west side parking lot is hard to see when driving up or down Route 9, and is easily missed. Coming from the south, in order to avoid the left hand turn (especially when I am uncertain of when and where to turn), I turn right into Fonda Rd, then do a turn around at the cement factory, then get the light to turn left onto Route 9, then turn right into the parking lot where there is a sign for the trail. Also, there is a park a little south of this lot for the trailhead, so be careful not to go there and be waiting for us.)

Let's meet at the parking lot on the west side of Route 9. If there is overflow they can park on the east side. There is a tunnel under Route 9, so we should be able to find each other there.

Reminder: If you find that you cannot make it after responding "yes" to RSVP, please reverse your RSVP even at the last minute, because we try to wait a bit if someone has not arrived on time. (The info in the app isn't always very current, but I try to keep my eye on it.)
