Thacher Park High Point Road/Trail

Hi - One of our members, Bob, has offered to lead this walk. We are hoping to see some really nice foliage. Hope you can join us.
Info from Bob's email to me: it is about 1 mile from the parking lot on Old Stage Road on the left out to High Point, so easy to go out there in less than 45 minutes; virtually no change in elevation; Much of it is flat limestone. Some is gravel. Some is "well-trodden" dirt: Directions: from Albany, take Rt 85 out through Slingerlands and New Salem. Continue up the long hill that bends to the left.
At the top, turn RIGHT onto Route 157 and drive thru Thacher Park. Past the new visitor center, turn RIGHT onto Ketcham Rd (Albany County Rt 256)- note the sign for the Nature Center. Go ~ 2 miles.
At the T, turn RIGHT onto (again) Rt 157/ Thacher Park Road. In about 1/2 mile, 157 bends to the left- bear RIGHT onto Old Stage Road.
Go about 1 mile, past Whipple and Carrick Roads and Pine Crest Lane, to the parking area on the right for the Long Path and Perimeter Trail, East Berne, NY. (may also be referred to as Altamont, NY)
