Chipping Ongar to Epping Essex countryside walk

A wonderful 7.5 mile linear walk on the wide open farmland and fields along the beautiful Essex Way !

We shall visit the oldest wooden church in the world - around 1000 years - and is also the oldest wooden building in Europe at the little village of Greensted.

We shall take the 420 bus at 10.40am from Epping and then commence the walk from Ongar back to Epping at around 11.10am.

Please bring packed lunch, water, snacks etc plus waterproof jacket and walking shoes/boots or trainers.

We shall have a drink around lunchtime and possibly also near the end of the walk.

You should be able to walk 2.5 miles per hour and have adequate and appropriate insurance for this type of activity.

Meetup fee £5 payable in cash or in advance by bank transfer.
