The castle, villa, lavender fields & villages by the River Darent

A most charming and beautiful 7 to 8 mile walk in wonderful Kent countryside with its amazing dramatic scenery of rolling hills , woods and fields that dates back to Roman times - an area of natural beauty indeed !

Please arrive by 10.15am so as to buy group train tickets for the 10.38am train that arrives in Otford at 11.07am.

Train return to Otford.

After arriving in Otford we shall then walk 3 miles along a country lane to the very pretty village of Shoreham where we shall stop for lunch ( packed lunch optional ) for at least an hour.

We shall then walk to Eynsford where we shall stop for a drink after passing Lullington Castle, some wonderful lavender fields and walking alongside the River Darent.

Please note that there is an optional fairly testing hill towards the end of the walk.

Meetup fee £5 payable in cash or in advance by bank transfer.

You should be able to walk 2.5 miles per hour and have adequate and appropriate insurance for this type of activity.

Please bring water, packed lunch if you like, snacks etc plus waterproof jacket and walking shoes, boots or trainers plus sunhat, suncream and sunglasses.

We shall aim to take the 4.53pm train back to London from Eynsford that arrives at around 5.30pm.
