Chartwell Walk

A really wonderful and beautiful and somewhat challenging hilly 7 mile walk by Sir Winston Churchill's home !

Please note that this is not a circular walk.

We shall buy group train tickets for the 10.07am train to Oxted that arrives at 10.35am and then subsequent 236 bus at 10.59am that arrives at Mapleton Road near Chartwell at 11.18am.

Or you may decide to drive.

The walk shall take us up Toys Hill and then by renowned Emmetts Garden before finally culminating at Westerham where we shall have a drink before taking the 594 bus back to Oxted at 4.30pm and then subsequent train back to London.

Please bring packed lunch, water, snacks etc plus waterproof jacket and trainers/boots/walking shoes plus sunhat, suncream and sunglasses.

You should be able to walk 2.5 miles an hour on the flat and have adequate and appropriate
insurance for this type of activity.
